If you get sick and need to see a doctor, the following information might be useful:
Students in Drammen
- contact the health care centre at Moov (2nd floor in the student apartment building, Børsemakergata 4) for daytime consultations.
If you need to see a doctor outside the opening hours (4 pm-8am), contact medical emergency at the hospital at +47 32 26 90 00.
Emergency room is located at the ground floor in the hospital, Dronninggata 28 (10 minutes walk from campus, opposite side of the river).
Students in Kongsberg
- contact the local Emergency room +47 32 72 03 00.
The local Emergency room is located at the ground floor in Kongsberg hospital, Drammensveien 4 (city centre).
Visiting hours are 4.00 pm-8 am. Telephone service is available 24-7 and nurses/doctors will give necessary information and advice you to medical treatment by phone during daytime.
If you need to book a doctor for daytime consultations, please contact the student welfare office for details, at + 47 32 86 96 34.
Students in Hønefoss
- to book an appointment for daytime consultations, contact the local Youth health care centre (open Mondays 2pm-6pm and Thursdays 2pm-5pm), at +47 32 11 75 75.
The centre is located in Storgata 3.
For immediate assistance, contact the local Emergency room at Ringerike hospital, +47 32 11 11 11.
Visiting hours 4.30 pm-8 am. The hospital is located 5 minutes from campus, at the south side of Hønefoss, Arnold Dybjords vei 1.
Students enrolled in programmes longer than 12 months (for instance 2-year Master programmes), and have obtained a residence permit for study purposes and a Norwegian social security number, have to register at https://tjenester.nav.no/minfastlege/innbygger/visloginside.no to choose a personal doctor for their stay in Norway.
Through SIBU, you may receive a refund of a part of your doctor bills, if you keep the requisitions and receipts for expenses. See http://www.sibu.no for more information.
