The following grading scale is used by universities in Norway:
A
Outstanding
Outstanding achievement. The candidate shows very good assessment capability and a high degree of autonomy.
B
Very good
Very good presentation. The candidate shows very good rating ability and independence.
C
Good
Consistently good performance which is satisfactory in most areas. The candidate shows good assessment capability and autonomy in key areas.
D
Satisfactory
An acceptable performance with some significant shortcomings. The candidate shows some degree of assessment capability and independence.
E
Sufficient
Performance meets the minimum requirements, but nothing more. The candidate shows little assessment capability and independence.
F
Fail
Achievement that does not meet the minimum academic requirements. The candidate shows both a lack of evaluation capacity and independence.
