About the library | BUC in Drammen
Courses and activities
The library will provide high quality services * to BUC's students, staff and partners. The library shall be an integral part of the university college's activities in teaching, research, dissemination and professional development.
* According to NOKUT's standards for accreditation of courses $ 2 to 1.3, "The library services shall be readily available and in accordance with the curriculum content and academic level." This also applies to postgraduate levels, $ 2 to 2.3."
The library, with its 3 branches, has a staff of 11.3 FTEs. During the academic year, the library is served by student assistants in the evening hours of Monday-Thursday.
The BUC library offers a total book holding of approx. 65 000, plus 70 000 e-books, 261 periodicals in print and more than 11 000 electronic journals in subscription. The Hønefoss campus library is 500 sqm, the Kongsberg library 420 sqm. The Drammen campus was in February 2007 co-located with the public and county library and has a total area of 5,000 sqm.
