Buskerud University College provides an e-mail service for students through Microsoft Live@Edu servers.
Communication Services:
Free, hosted email and calendaring with a 10 GB inbox and instant messaging through Outlook Live
Collaboration Services:
Ability to access, share and collaborate through SkyDrive, with 25 GB of free online storage space
Productivity Services:
Create, view, edit, and share Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files online with SkyDriveStudents at BUC get 10 GB available for their Inbox and can send or receive attachments up to 20 MB.
The password you use to log in to your Live @ Edu account is not the same password as the one you use to log on to the school network.
To log into your Live@Edu e-mail account you must do the following:
1. Start your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)
2. Go to https://student2010.hibu.no and authenticate with the username and password you have received from BUC
3. Click on "Get Live@Edu username and password"
4. Note E-mail address (username in the Live @ Edu) and Live @ Edu Password
IMPORTANT! If you change one of these passwords, the other will not change automatically.
You have to maintain two passwords.
You should still use the Studentnumber and the password you were given along with it, to log in the school network.
The E-mail address and Live password should only be used to log in to Live@Edu.
To log in the Live @ Edu account do the following:
1. Start your browser
2. Go to: https://login.live.com/.
3. Log in with:
o Username: Your e-mail address (e-mail address from Section 4 of "User name and password")
o Password: Live @ Edu Password (see Section 4 of the "Username and password")
4. The first time you log in to Live@Edu you must enter account information. After you have entered the required information, press "I agree". Then you must set the language and time zone.
