
The IT department is responsible for procurement, installation, operation and support on BUC's computer and telephone systems.
The IT services can be reached by telephone and at the Helpdesk during weekdays.
The Helpdesk is located in the library in Kongsberg and Drammen campuses, and in the IT office (C204) on the first floor in Hønefoss campus.

Buskerud University College offers an online portal for students.
The Student portal gives access to useful services and resources if you are working at a computer located outside campus.
In order to use the student portal, you must have received an e-mail from BUC with information about your user account.

With the "Access Anywhere" solution at BUC, students get access to electronic services and resources available through BUC websites, also outside campus. The Access Anywhere works with an Internet connection.
Students should visit https://student.hibu.no/ to access the Student Portal.

To access BUC's IT resources, you must have received an e-mail from BUC with information about your user account.
If you use your own laptop on BUC's wireless network; you must install a small program to access different directories and printing capabilities.
The program is called HiBu Login and can be downloaded from our new student portal.
Buskerud University College provdes an e-mail service for students through Microsoft Office 365.
Students at BUC get 25 GB available for their Inbox. The user may send or receive attachments up to 25 MB.

To ensure good printing and copying services a printing and copying system is available at Papirbredden campus. 8 multi-functional machines (referred as MFP) are deployed with a card reader (so-called "FollowMe" solution).
All MFPs are providing printing, copying and scanning.

All computers in BUC's network need current antivirus software.

Students enrolled in IT programs will get free access to Microsoft development software used in teaching.
The use of pirated software in our network is not allowed!
Microsoft DreamSpark provides free access for students to a wide range of Microsoft's development tools, compilers and other products.
Here you may find Visual Studios, Visual Web Developer, SQL Server developer, WindowsServer2008 and much more.
To get access you need to register at an official BUC mail address.
