We are happy to send you our course catalog and search manual through email. Both are also getting hold of the secondary schools, employment offices and libraries.
How do I apply?
You apply online through Samordna Opptak. All applicants with a Norwegian social security number must be registered users of MinID to search through Samordna Opptak, see http://www.samordnaopptak.no/info/minid/index.html Remember that it may take from 1-5 days from ordering MinID until you receive the PIN code sent to the address you are registered with the National Register.
Can I send you my papers and get a pre-assessment of my admission and score?
Sorry, admissions office does not have the capacity to provide pre-assessments for applicants who apply for this year's admission.
When should I submit my diploma?
You will receive a cover sheet from Samordna Opptak a few weeks after you submit your application online. Submission deadline will be stated at the top of the sheet. The cover sheet and document has to be sent to applied college/university. Name and address will be written at the top of the cover sheet.
How do I know that my application has been received by Samordna Opptak?
You will get a yellow final receipt which can also be sent to your e-mail after you have added the application. Remember to check that your receipt is correct, it can be used as evidence that you have applied for admission.
Can you send me a confirmation that I have applied?
The receipt you receive after submitting your online application is confirmation that you are seeking for admission through Samordna Opptak. The cover sheet and letters that come with is also confirmation that you have applied.
When I get answers to the application for early admission?
Replies will be sent out in the middle of May. If you do not receive an offer of early admission, the application will automatically move on to the regular admission. Deadline is 1st March!
I should have applied for admission on the basis of qualifications, but the deadline has expired - it's too late now?
The deadline passed on 1 March. It is too late to apply for admission on the basis of qualifications after the deadline. You can wait until 20 July and apply through Restetorget if there are vacant places.
Is it safe to apply online?
Yes, Samordna Opptak has encrypted file transfers, just like online banking. They also have good record keeping of transactions in the database, which means we can often reconstruct incomplete applications.
I have applied until 1st March deadline, but wish to apply for further studies. What should I do?
You must log in to your online application and bring up new studies. The application will be treated as ordinary application of your new study requirements. If you want to keep the student priorities from the first application, you must include these within the new application. Apply for the application by 1 March deadline; remember it is the latest dated application that is valid. The first application will be annulled.
I submitted my application earlier, but I want the 3rd choice to be at the top. What should I do?
Until 1 July you can reprioritize the web application. You can change the priority unlimited number of times.
Should I send the cover sheet, even though I have not a diploma yet?
Yes, check the field 'sending the certificate afterwards' and submit the cover sheet. The absolute final deadline for submitting the documentation is 1 July.
Where do I get certified copies?
At all public offices (schools, police/ sheriff, employment office, etc.) and copy companies.
I am away until August, how can I update my status on my application?
You may at any time and from anywhere in the world log on to your web application to check the status and respond to an offer of admission.
