BUC can grant admission for students from the waiting list until 1st September (may vary between the different study programs)
Re-admission for the remaining vacant study places will be open from 20th July to 1st September (the latest). In weeks 33 and 34 the admission will run on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Within week 35 the admission will run on Tuesday and Thursday. Potential study offers and higher waiting list positions can be seen in online application from approximately 15:00 pm the same day when the admission runs.
Restetorget opens on Friday 20th July at 09.00.
An overview of study offers that will be available to apply for from 20th July, will be published on 19th July at 09.00.
It is possible to pre-register for the Restetorget already on 19th July! The application can be sent only when the Restetorget opens on 20th July at 09.00. Admissions Office will provide more details about the pre-registration.
There will be a continuous assessment of the studies to be published at Restetorget after 20th July. Available study places can be posted on the Internet from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day (most likely in the period from 08.00 to 16.00 on weekdays).
No. Restetorget study places are granted to the first applicants who fulfill the requirements.
Available Restetorget study places can be applied for only through the web application on www.samordnaopptak.no! All applicants with a Norwegian identity number must register to apply via ID-porten /MinID. Get the electronic ID in advance. Documentation for the admission requirements has to be sent to BUC (and possibly other study places to which you have applied through Restetorget). Applicants who have an ordinary application this year, and have general admission, do not normally send new documentation. Applicants can see the information about this on their web application.
See the information at the top of the application receipt. Normally, the documentation has to be sent to the institution that is the first on the application form. Note that this does not change even if the applicant edits his/her priorities.
Samordna Opptak will give you the result of the web application on 20th July. The earliest opportunity to see the result is likely to be on Tuesday 17th July. Officially, Samordna Opptak does not give the results of the admission before 20th July. Therefore, you should note that there may be delays.
Applications are assesed continuously.
A possible offer may be seen on web application from approximately 15:00 p.m. during the following days:
Week 30-32 and 35-36: Tuesday and Thursday
Week 33 and 34: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Restetorget opens and closes for new offers from 20th July - 1st September. After 1st September Restetorget is closed.

1st class will have introductory information and lectures from 15th August, the subject "Introduction to Engineering" will be taught on 16th and 17th August.

Yes. In order to keep your study place you must set up an agreement about your absence during the opening day and/or study start period. Arrangement has to be made with the admission office through email: studieinfo@hibu.no
Because of the strike in the public sector, the issuance of some of the diplomas is delayed. We will send out the diplomas as soon as we can. Please also check if you have given us your new address in case you have moved from the student house address.

There is usually no autumn holiday at university college level, but check the timetable of your study program to see what is scheduled for that week.
